Tresoar, Frisian Historical and Literary Centre - In 2002 the Ryksargyf was merged witho two other institutes to become "Tresoar". This is still a premiere site for Frisian genealogy research, and there is now English language support.

North-east Frisian genealogy researchers - in Dutch but have a go at it regardless - this is from a genealogical research group in NE Friesland - you can search and see if they have researched your family name. Also lots of great history here.

Genealogy yn Fryslan - a masterful site on genealogy, also not in English, but have a go at it. There is a section on Frisian families - maybe someone has already been doing work on your family name!

Upstalsboom-Gessellschaft - good news for East Frisians tracing their roots. A project is underway to trace the families of East Frisia, village by village. Have a look at some databases here.
